Odbyło się IX Europejskie Forum Podpisu Elektronicznego

Od 3 do 5 czerwca 2009 r. w Hotelu Amber Baltic w Międzyzdrojach trwały obrady 9 edycji Europejskiego Forum Podpisu Elektronicznego EFPE 2009, pod patronatem honorowym Ministra Gospodarki, Wiceprezesa Rady Ministrów Waldemara Pawlaka oraz Polskiego i Europejskiego Komitetu Normalizacyjnego.
Organizatorami EFPE 2009 były Unizeto Technologies S.A., Krajowa Izba Rozliczeniowa S.A., Polska Wytwórnia Papierów Wartościowych S.A. oraz Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny. Ta największa coroczna międzynarodowa konferencja poświęcona podpisowi elektronicznemu i PKI skupiła w tym roku ponad 100 uczestników z 15 krajów Europy i Azji, reprezentantów komisji europejskiej, polskich i zagranicznych kwalifikowanych centrów certyfikacji, polskich ministerstw Gospodarki, Finansów, Spraw Wewnętrznych i Administracji oraz Narodowego Banku Polskiego.
Tematem przewodnim konferencji była „Rola podpisu elektronicznego w społeczeństwie informacyjnym – slogan czy realna potrzeba”. Szczególną rolę oprócz referatów, prezentacji oraz warsztatów praktycznych odegrały dyskusje i polemiki dwóch okrągłych stołów z udziałem reprezentantów administracji i biznesu na niezwykle aktualne tematy:
Projekt ustawy o podpisach elektronicznych w Polsce – do czego naprawdę zmierzamy, czy upowszechnimy podpis elektroniczny, czy stanie się odwrotnie?” (w kontekście najnowszego projektu ustawy o podpisach elektronicznych z 25 maja br.) oraz
Podpis elektroniczny w Europie i na świecie – transgraniczna wymiana informacji w nawiązaniu do dyrektywy usługowej EU” (w kontekście zgodności projektu polskiej ustawy o podpisach elektronicznych z uregulowaniami unijnymi).
